Prym Anti-Glue Sewing Machine Needles – Universal Needles Against Adhesive Residue

Prym Anti-Glue Universal Embroidery sewing machine needles are universal needles with a smooth non-stick coating for working with sticky materials: self-adhesive embroidery stabiliser, self-adhesive hook-and-loop tape, Prym Wondertape or spray adhesive. Noticeably less adhesive residue builds up on the coated surface. This helps prevent skipped stitches and thread breakage.

The extra large eye is also suitable for embroidery; a size 75 needle has an eye equivalent to that of a standard size 100. The special scarf and eye geometry prevents skipped stitches. The slightly rounded point suits most materials, and the tapered shank reinforcement also allows you to sew heavier fabrics such as denim. The flat shank fits standard sewing machines.

Which size for what?

The set contains three sizes. Use the 75 for lightweight fabrics and fine embroidery, and the 90 for medium-weight fabrics. The 100 is intended for firmer fabrics such as denim. Because the eye is larger than on ordinary universal needles, thicker embroidery or decorative thread also runs through smoothly.

When to change the needle

If adhesive has built up on the needle despite the coating, or if stitches are skipped, replace the needle with a fresh one. Never sew over pins, as the point can be damaged.
