Prym White Cotton Bias Binding – for Finishing Curved Edges

Prym bias binding (art. no. 903010) in 100 % cotton, white, finishes curves and edges neatly, for example on the necklines of T-shirts and dresses or on table linen and bed linen. You get 3 m of binding, 40 mm wide and pre-folded to 20 mm.

The binding is cut on the bias, so it has some stretch. It follows curves without rippling. The fold gives you a firm guide line when sewing it on. As a cotton binding, it suits cotton fabrics, which react in a similar way to washing and care.

How to bind an edge

Open out one long side of the binding and pin it right sides together to the right side of the fabric, edge to edge. On curves, ease the binding along loosely and stretch it slightly on the outer curve so that it lies flat later. Sew along the fold line, then fold the binding over the fabric edge to the wrong side and edgestitch it in place. Pressing makes folding it over easier.
