HobbyFun silicone mould for a ribbed pot with lid – casting mould for resin, concrete and plaster

With the HobbyFun silicone mould you can cast your own ribbed pots with lids, for example for jewellery, keys or other small items. The mould has a diameter of 85 mm and a height of 7 cm. You fill it with epoxy resin, concrete or plaster.

The flexible silicone gives way when you demould, so you can carefully ease the hardened casting out. The mould can be used several times, so you can cast several pots of the same size, for instance as gifts or for decorative sets.

Casting a pot

The mould must be clean and dry and stand on a level surface so that the pot comes out straight. Mix the casting compound according to the instructions for the material in question. With epoxy resin the exact mixing ratio matters; with plaster and concrete, the right ratio of powder to water.

• Pour the compound in slowly so that little air is trapped
• Tap the mould lightly so that air bubbles rise to the surface
• Let the compound cure completely before demoulding
• Stretch the mould carefully when releasing the casting; do not pull on the casting itself

Cleaning and note

After demoulding, clean the mould with water and, if necessary, a little washing-up liquid. A mould in which you have worked with resin, plaster or concrete is not a baking mould and must no longer come into contact with food.
