HobbyFun silicone mould pot with lid – cast your own smooth pots

With the HobbyFun silicone mould you can cast a smooth pot with a lid yourself, for example for jewellery, keys or other small items. The finished pot measures approx. 10.5 × 6 cm. The mould is made of 100% silicone, is stretchy and flexible, and so is easy to demould. You can use it several times.

The mould is suitable for plaster, resin (casting resin), concrete and ceramic clay. The smooth surface works well whether you want to paint the pot, cover it with napkins or leave it plain. The moulds are cast by hand, so small irregularities are normal. Only the mould is supplied, not the finished pot.

Casting the pot

Place the mould on a level surface so that the pot comes out straight and the rim closes cleanly. Mix your casting compound according to the instructions on the pack and fill the mould evenly. Tap it lightly so that air bubbles rise to the surface. Let the compound harden completely before demoulding. Then gently stretch the silicone at the edge and ease the pot out bit by bit, rather than pulling it out by force.

Care and notes on use

After demoulding, clean the mould with water and, if necessary, a little washing-up liquid. Once you have used a mould for plaster, resin, concrete or ceramic clay, do not use it for food again.
