Prym strong cotton tape – sturdy tape for seams and hems

The Prym strong cotton tape (art. no. 901510) is a 20 mm wide white tape made from 100 % cotton. You can use it to reinforce seams and lengthen hems. The card contains 3 m. According to Prym, the tape is made in a strong version and withstands lasting wear. It is washable at 95 °C, so it can still be used for boil washes.

How to use the tape

To reinforce, lay the tape over the seam or over the area that takes a lot of strain, and stitch it in place as you sew. To lengthen a hem, sew the tape to the hem edge and fold it to the inside, so that you gain a little extra length. As cotton can shrink the first time it is washed, wash the tape before use if needed.
