Prym Omnigrid Universal Ruler 1 × 6 inch – narrow grid ruler with angle markings

The Prym Omnigrid universal grid ruler 1 × 6 inch (art. no. 611645) is a narrow, transparent plastic ruler for measuring, marking and cutting fabric, especially for patchwork and quilting. At approx. 2.5 × 15 cm, it suits narrow strips and short cut edges. You can also use it for tailoring or graphic work.

The yellow and black grid print stays easy to read on both light and dark fabrics. According to Prym, the scratch-resistant laser print on the underside rules out optical distortion. You can therefore read the measurements directly at the edge of the fabric.

Working with the ruler

The 30°, 45° and 60° angle markings help you cut triangles, diamonds and bias strips. The thick, durable material guides rotary cutters and pull knives safely. When cutting, place the ruler on a cutting mat, press it down firmly with a flat hand and keep your fingers well away from the blade.

Inch or metric?

This ruler is the inch version. Prym also offers the Omnigrid rulers with metric markings. If your pattern uses centimetres, choose the metric version. If it is given in inches, this ruler is the right one.
