Rayher mixed-colour wooden beads – large beads for stringing

The assorted coloured wooden beads from Rayher (art. no. 1209600) are stringing beads for necklaces, bracelets, pendants and dummy chains. The bucket holds 1200 g of beads in various sizes from Ø 16 to 25 mm and in various shapes. You get plenty of material in a cheerful colour mix.

According to Rayher, the beads are saliva-resistant and sweat-resistant and do not bleed colour. That matters when jewellery is worn against the skin a lot or when beads are put in the mouth. The mix is packed by weight.

What the large beads are suited to

Beads of Ø 16–25 mm make a bold statement and are easy to grip. They are therefore well suited to chunky necklaces, bracelets and pendants, to dummy chains and to stringing fun for the whole family. For fine jewellery or delicate patterns you will need smaller beads. The series includes a mix with Ø 4–16 mm for this.

Stringing the mix

Sort the beads by size and colour before stringing and lay out your pattern on a mat. Choose a ribbon or cord that pulls easily through the holes and can take the weight of the large wooden beads. For dummy chains, work with particular care and check the knots and fastenings. A firm knot stops beads from coming loose.
