The Efco wire mesh with a 6 x 6 mm mesh size is a galvanised, silver-grey mesh for crafts, modelling and decoration. It measures 100 x 40 cm (0.4 m²). The fine mesh lets you work out even small details cleanly, and the mesh can be cut and bent into shape. Mesh of this kind is also called chicken wire. How to work with the mesh

Mark the cut on the mesh with a pen and cut along the line, mesh by mesh, with side cutters or wire cutters. Cut as close to the junction as possible, so that shorter wire ends are left. The cut edges are sharp: wear gloves when cutting and shaping, and bend protruding wire ends inwards or trim them before you handle the piece.

The small mesh size suits fine contours, small objects and models that need a close-meshed framework. For example, the mesh can be bent into shapes that you later fill or cover with papier-mâché or modelling compound. It is also used as the body when making your own lamps.
