Efco gold-coloured pins – for sequin work on polystyrene

Efco's gold-coloured iron pins are designed for sequin work: you pin sequins straight onto polystyrene shapes to decorate them. The pins come in three lengths (10, 13 and 18 mm). Choose your length from the options.

Each pack contains 50 g. Depending on the length, that is approx. 800 to 1,200 pins, so you get more of the shorter pins. This helps with planning quantities: for larger areas or lots of sequins, it is worth estimating the amount roughly beforehand.

Pinning on sequins

Push the pin through the hole in the sequin and press it vertically into the polystyrene shape. It is best to start in one spot and work row by row. If the sequins overlap slightly, you get a closed, scale-like surface.

Which length to choose

The length depends on the thickness of your polystyrene shape. The pin should sit firmly but not come out on the other side. For thin-walled or small shapes, use the short length; for larger and thicker shapes, the longer pins hold better.
