Rayher Decorative Chicken Wire, Hexagonal Mesh, Platinum, 122 × 21.5 cm

Rayher Decorative Chicken Wire – Hexagonal Mesh to Bend and Shape

The Rayher decorative wire mesh (art. no. 2410721) is a hexagonal mesh, also known as chicken wire or wire netting, for shaping and craft projects and for decorations indoors and outdoors. The mesh is 1.22 m long and 21.5 cm wide and comes in platinum. You can bend it into a variety of shapes.

According to Rayher, you can combine it with flowers, leaves, moss, Easter eggs or pumpkins. The hexagonal openings make it easy to tuck in or tie on decorative pieces. The length of 1.22 m helps you plan: you can bend one piece into a single shape or divide it into several smaller pieces.

Working with the mesh

First shape the mesh by hand into the form you want, for example a roll, an arch or a nest for Easter eggs. Once the shape holds, trim any protruding pieces with pliers or side cutters and bend the wire ends inwards so that you do not injure yourself on them. Gloves protect your hands when bending and cutting. Tuck decorations such as moss, leaves or flowers into the mesh or tie them on with thin wire.
