Rayher Mini-Dekoformen XMAS – Silicone Mould with 16 Christmas Shapes

The Rayher silicone mould Mini-Dekoformen XMAS (art. no. 36160000) is a soft mould for small Christmas decorations. A mould sheet measuring 14.5 × 26 × 1 cm holds 16 individual cavities in 5 shapes: circle, angel, star, bauble and tree. Each shape appears 3 times, the fir tree 4 times. This lets you cast a whole set of hanging decorations, table decorations or gift trimmings in one go.

According to Rayher, the mould is suitable for casting with Creative Concrete 5in1, jewellery concrete, Raysin casting powder, casting resin and wax. As the pieces are only 8 mm thick, they dry through quickly and can later be glued on, stood up or combined into rows of decorations.

Casting with the silicone mould

Place the mould sheet on a flat, firm surface so that the pieces come out an even thickness. Mix your casting material following the instructions on the pack and fill the cavities evenly to the rim. Tap the sheet gently so that air bubbles rise to the surface. Once set, flex the soft silicone slightly and the pieces will release without fine details breaking off. Plan the quantity beforehand: according to Rayher, all 16 cavities need about 170 g of jewellery concrete or concrete 5in1, or about 150 g of Raysin casting powder 200/250.

Which shapes are included?

The five shapes differ in size: the star measures 40 mm in diameter, the tree 26 × 42 mm and the angel 35 × 40 mm. All are 8 mm thick. You can cast gift tags, table decorations or small scatter pieces and, once set, paint them or decorate them with glitter.

Cleaning

After demoulding, clean the silicone mould with water and a little washing-up liquid if needed. Remove any residue before it has set, and the surface of the next castings will stay clean.

Not suitable for food. Once you have used a mould for concrete, casting powder, casting resin or wax, do not use it for food again.
