Rayher wax motif, reddish fish – decorative wax for communion candles

The Rayher fish wax motif is a decorative wax motif for candles. You can use it, for example, to decorate a communion candle. The fish is an early Christian symbol and therefore suits this occasion well. The motif is reddish, measures 8.5 × 5 cm and comes as 1 piece.

You press decorative wax onto the candle with the warmth of your hands, so you need no glue and no tools. According to Rayher, it also sticks to plastic or glass.

Applying the motif to the candle

The motif sticks best to a clean, unvarnished candle surface. The candle should not be greasy or dusty.

• Wipe the candle where you want the motif, if it is dusty.
• Warm the wax motif briefly between your fingers until it bends easily.
• Lay the motif on the candle and press it gently from the centre outwards, especially at the edges.
• On curved surfaces, press the motif on in small steps so that no creases form.

Does the motif suit your candle?

At 8.5 × 5 cm, the motif is a wide, flat format. It is best suited to candles with enough space in landscape orientation. Before pressing it on, check how the motif should sit on the candle. Once pressed on, the wax is difficult to remove cleanly.
