Rayher lotus flower bowl mould – for concrete, Raysin, casting resin and wax

The Rayher lotus flower bowl silicone mould makes a small flower-shaped bowl 8 cm in diameter and 3.5 cm high. You can fill it with Kreativ-Beton (creative concrete), Kreativ-Beton 5in1, Raysin 200 or casting resin. Wax with a wick can also be poured in. The finished bowl can be used as a small decorative dish or as a holder for pillar candles and tealights.

According to Rayher, the silicone is extremely flexible and keeps its shape. Because it stretches, you can release dried pieces from the mould very easily. You do not need an additional release agent such as oil; just rinse the mould with water before use.

Casting the bowl

Rinse the mould with water before the first casting. Mix your casting compound according to the manufacturer's instructions and pour it into the mould. For one bowl you need about 150 g of Kreativ-Beton or around 130 g of Raysin 200, which helps you measure out the quantity. Leave the piece to dry completely. Then gently stretch the silicone at the edge and push the bowl out from underneath.

Care and note

After demoulding, clean the mould with water and a little washing-up liquid; this keeps it in shape and means it can often be reused. Once you have used a mould for concrete, casting resin or wax, do not use it for food again.
