3D Owl Silicone Mould – fine detail for plaster, concrete and casting compound

The owl silicone mould is a very fine mould made of very soft silicone, used to cast an owl as a 3D figure. You can use it for plaster, concrete or the water-resistant casting compound AC730. The mould is one piece and measures approx. Ø 5.5 × 6.5 × 6.5 cm.

Once the material has set, the soft silicone can be bent so that you can carefully release the cast piece. This also protects fine details.

Casting the owl

Mix the casting compound according to the instructions on the packaging, preferably on the thin side so that it also flows into fine recesses. Pour it slowly into the mould and tap the mould gently on the work surface so that air bubbles rise to the top. Let the material set completely before removing the mould. Stretch the soft silicone gently rather than pulling on the cast piece.

Care and note

Rinse residues out of the mould after casting, before they set, and let it dry thoroughly. Do not use a mould in which you have worked plaster, concrete or casting compound for food again.
