Rico Design UV Resin Soft – flexible-curing UV resin for jewellery

Rico Design UV Resin Soft is a transparent UV resin in a 100 ml dispensing bottle for jewellery and small items. Unlike standard UV resin, it stays slightly flexible and pliable after curing. This makes it especially suitable for bangles and rings, which are easier to put on as a result.

You can colour the clear resin with pigments or decorate it with metal leaf and fillers. You use it straight from the bottle, with no mixing. It cures under UV light or sunlight.

Working with the UV resin

The resin goes straight from the bottle into the mould. How long it takes to cure depends on layer thickness and light source: it is quicker under a UV lamp than in sunlight, and takes longer when the sky is overcast.

• Pour the resin into a transparent or translucent mould, otherwise no light will reach the resin.
• Apply a maximum of 3 mm per layer. Build up thicker pieces in several layers.
• Cure each layer under a UV lamp or in sunlight.
• Let the resin cure completely before removing it from the mould.

When to choose UV Resin Soft

Choose the Soft version if the finished piece should have some give, for example bangles and rings that you pull over your hand or finger. As the resin stays flexible even once cured, it is intended for pieces that may bend slightly. For pendants or shapes that need to be completely rigid, standard UV resin is more suitable.

If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice / attention. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local / regional / national / international regulations. Keep the packaging.
