Möbius + Ruppert Brass Double Pencil Sharpener – Two Holes for Graphite and Colouring Pencils
The Möbius + Ruppert double sharpener is a round sharpener made of solid brass with two holes, so you can sharpen graphite pencils and colouring pencils of different thicknesses. The blades are made of steel and the body of brass. The sharpener is made in Germany and, at Ø 26 mm, fits into a pencil case, drawing case or desk tidy.
The small hole measures Ø 8.2 mm, the large one Ø 11.2 mm. That way you don't need a second sharpener for standard and thicker pencils.
Which hole for which pencil?
Use the small hole for slim graphite and colouring pencils up to Ø 8.2 mm. Thicker pencils up to Ø 11.2 mm belong in the large hole. If you put a thick pencil into the small hole, it jams or cannot be sharpened cleanly.
Sharpening cleanly
Hold the sharpener firmly and turn the pencil slowly and evenly, without pressing. This applies especially to colouring pencils with a soft lead, which break more easily under too much pressure. The blades are sharp, so take care of your fingers when sharpening and storing the sharpener.
