925 Sterling Silver Crimp Beads – Secure Wire, Beads and Clasps

Pracht crimp beads are made of 925 sterling silver and have an outer diameter of 2.0 mm. You attach the small tubes to jewellery wire or nylon thread with crimping pliers. Use them to secure threads, hold beads in place or attach clasps. The 20 pieces are enough for smaller projects, repairs or for topping up your stock. The fine size suits delicate pieces of jewellery.

Attaching a clasp

Thread a crimp bead onto the wire, pass the end through the loop of the clasp and back through the crimp bead. Slide the bead close to the loop so that only a small loop remains, and squeeze it shut with the crimping pliers. Trim the excess wire end with side cutters. First check that your wire or thread fits through the hole twice. If the bead is still loose after crimping, it is usually too large for the wire thickness.
