Efco crimp beads Ø 2.0 mm, silver-plated – fixing beads and clasps securely

Efco crimp beads (metal alloy, silver-plated) are used in jewellery making to fix beads on wire or thread and to attach clasps. They have an outer diameter of Ø 2.0 mm, and the bag contains 100 pieces.

The silver-plated finish matches silver-coloured clasps, jump rings and spacers. The quantity is enough for several necklaces and bracelets, so you won't need to reorder.

Fixing beads and clasps

Thread the crimp bead onto the wire or thread, pass the end through the loop of the clasp and then back through the bead. Slide the bead up close to the clasp so that no gap is left, and squeeze it firmly with crimping pliers. Fixing a bead in the middle of the wire works in just the same way. Try one bead first to check that your wire or thread fits the hole size, and after crimping give the clasp a gentle tug to check that it holds. Efco crimp beads are also available in Ø 1.0 mm; choose the size to suit the thickness of your material.
