Rayher silver crimp beads – for securing beads and clasps

With these Rayher crimp beads you can secure beads and clasps on necklaces and bracelets. The pack contains 20 pieces in silver, with diameters of 1.3 mm / 2.4 mm. 20 pieces are enough for several necklaces or bracelets, as you need one bead for each clasp and each spacer.

The crimp bead sits on wire or jewellery thread. It is squeezed together with pliers, which clamps the thread firmly in place. This holds a clasp without any need for knots.

Attaching a clasp

First thread the crimp bead onto the wire or thread, then the loop of the clasp. Pass the end back through the bead and lay it close alongside the thread. Slide the bead up to the clasp, leaving only a little play, and squeeze it with the crimping pliers. Test the hold with a gentle pull before trimming the excess end.
