These crimp beads, Ø 2.0 x 2.0 mm, secure jewellery wire, nylon thread and other cords, for example at the end of a necklace or bracelet. The assortment contains 500 pieces in gold, silver, black and copper. This lets you choose the shade to match your beads, clasp and wire.

How to fit a crimp bead

The wire must pass easily through the bead. Test this with your wire or thread before you start. Then proceed as follows:

• Thread on the crimp bead and pass the end of the wire through the clasp or eyelet.
• Pass the end back through the bead so that a small loop forms.
• Slide the bead up to the clasp and leave the loop only a little slack.
• Press the bead firmly together with the crimping pliers.
• Trim the protruding end of the wire with side cutters.

Which size is right?

At 2.0 mm, the beads suit thin wires and threads. For thicker material you will need larger crimp beads. Also check that the colour matches the clasp and beads of your piece of jewellery.
