This assortment contains 600 crimp beads, Ø 1.5 x 1.5 mm, in gold, silver, black and copper. Crimp beads are small, cylindrical metal beads used to secure jewellery wire, nylon thread or other cord. You squeeze them with crimping pliers so that they join thread ends or hold beads in place.

How to secure a thread with a crimp bead

Thread the crimp bead onto the wire or thread, pass the end through a clasp or a loop and thread it back through the bead. Pull the loop as tight as you want it, then squeeze the bead with the crimping pliers. Trim the thread end only once the bead is firmly in place.

What to consider when choosing

The wire or thread must fit through the bead, even if you pass it through twice. Test it first on an offcut. If you want a more noticeable bead, larger crimp beads are also available in this series.
