Rayher silicone rabbit mould – cast your own 3D rabbit figures
With the Rayher silicone rabbit mould you can cast three-dimensional rabbit figures for Easter decorations, table decorations or small gifts. According to Rayher, it is suitable for Raysin, creative concrete, creative concrete 5in1, wax and epoxy resin. The silicone is extremely flexible and keeps its shape, and the mould is reusable. It is ø 5.2 cm wide and 12 cm tall.
The silicone withstands temperatures from -40 °C to 240 °C. You do not need a release agent: once rinsed with water, the mould is ready to use.
How to cast the rabbit
Rinse the mould with water before first use. Then pour in the mixed casting compound and leave it to harden completely.
- Raysin needs longer to dry than usual: at least 8 hours, preferably overnight.
- Once dry, carefully pull the mould straight upwards in the direction of the ears so that the thin ears do not break off.
- After use, clean the mould with water and a little washing-up liquid.
Material requirements and decorating
For one rabbit you need, according to Rayher, approx. 180 g of Raysin or approx. 220 g of creative concrete or creative concrete 5in1. These quantities let you weigh out the casting compound in advance. You can paint, write on and decorate finished castings with acrylic paints, marker pens or Deco-Metall. Do not use a mould in which you have cast concrete, resin or wax for food again.
