Circle Template Ø 4–40 mm – Neat Circles in 1 mm Steps

With this circle template you can draw circles from 4 to 40 mm in diameter in steps of 1 mm. It suits sketches, technical drawings, craft templates and layouts where you need accurate circles without a compass.

The template measures 280 × 164 mm. The sizes are finely graded, so you will find a suitable diameter for almost any purpose, such as dots, buttons, wheels or hole markings. There is no compass to set, and you can change diameter straight away.

Drawing neat circles

Hold the template firmly on the paper with one hand. Place the pen upright in the opening and trace the edge in one steady movement. A sharp pencil or a fine fineliner gives the most accurate lines. If you hold the pen at an angle, the circle will come out too large or too small, depending on the tilt.

Which diameter to choose

Small circles from 4 to 10 mm are used for details such as eyes, rivets or rows of holes. The medium sizes suit buttons, wheels or outlines, and the largest, up to 40 mm, suit motifs and frames. If you want to draw circles inside one another, the 1 mm graduation helps you keep the spacing even.
