Prym glass-head pins – colourful, iron-safe heads for pinning

Prym glass-head pins (art. no. 029265) hold layers of fabric together when sewing, tailoring and quilting. The round glass head is heat-resistant and can be ironed over. You can therefore leave the pins in the fabric while ironing without damaging the head.

The heads come in assorted colours, which makes the pins easier to find again on patterned or dark fabrics and on your work table. The smooth shaft is made of hardened steel and is 30 mm long and 0.60 mm thick. The fine point passes easily through the fabric and is gentle on the fibres.

Pinning safely

Insert the pins at right angles to the seam, with the heads pointing towards the edge of the fabric. This way you can pull them out quickly as you sew. Do not sew over the pins, as the machine needle can hit a pin and break. On finely woven fabrics, use just a few carefully placed pins.
