Cernit Feathers silicone mould – motif mould in flexible silicone
The Cernit Feathers silicone mould is a motif mould made of extra flexible silicone, for shaping feathers from modelling clay, for example for jewellery, accessories, table decorations and home decor.
The soft silicone bends easily when you release the piece. This lets you remove the finished feather with its fine details intact, without it breaking. The mould is suitable for polymer modelling clay such as Cernit and for air-drying clays.
Shaping a feather
Press the soft modelling clay firmly into the recess so that even the fine lines of the feather are reproduced cleanly. Smooth off any excess clay level with the top edge. To release it, gently flex the silicone mould and push the motif out from the back. With air-drying clays, let the piece dry completely first and only then remove it from the mould. With polymer clay, follow the baking instructions of the clay manufacturer.
Care and storage
Wash the mould with soap and water as needed. Store it flat and do not use pointed tools in the recess, so that the silicone stays undamaged.
