The Clover flexible fabric measuring ruler (art. no. 7703, listed by Clover as the "Graph Ruler") is a 50 cm ruler for measuring and drawing in sewing and knitting designs. You can use it to mark seam lines and draw parallel lines at various distances accurately.

The ruler is made of flexible plastic and helps you measure curved areas such as armholes or the curves of pattern pieces. The markings are printed on transparent plastic, so you can read the cm scale on dark fabrics too.

Using the ruler

For hemlines or seam allowances, place the ruler against the edge of the fabric and draw along the distance lines. This gives you parallel lines without having to re-measure each time. Along the 45° line you can mark diagonals, for example for bias strips or patterns in patchwork and quilting. On curves, bend the ruler slightly to the edge and read off the length.

Which length to choose

With 50 cm you can measure and draw longer distances such as hem edges or lengths of fabric in one go. For smaller pieces and details, the series also includes a 30 cm version.
