Prym hem tape 20 mm – hemming without needle or sewing machine

Prym hem tape with backing paper (art. no. 968168) is an iron-on web for no-sew hemming of dresses, coats, skirts or trousers. You iron it on along the edge of the fabric, peel off the backing paper and fix the hem in place with the iron again.

The white tape is 20 mm wide and made of 100 % polyamide. It is iron-safe and washable up to 60 °C, so the hem will also withstand regular washing. The 5 m come on a card, and the backing paper makes the tape easier to handle.

Hemming with the tape

Place the tape with the coated side against the edge of the fabric. The backing paper protects the iron and the fabric from the adhesive layer. Set the iron to a temperature suited to your fabric and test it first on an offcut.

• Iron the tape on along the edge of the fabric with the coated side down
• Peel off the backing paper
• Fold up the hem and iron it on again

Which width to choose

At 20 mm, this tape suits narrow hems. The tape is also available in 30 mm and 38 mm widths in this range. Choose the width to suit the depth of your hem.
