Prym Hemming Tape 30 mm – No-Sew Hems with Backing Paper

Prym hemming tape with backing paper is an iron-on web that lets you hem trousers, skirts, dresses and coats without needle and thread. It is 30 mm wide and 5 m long. The backing paper helps you place the web exactly on the fabric edge and iron it on securely.

The web is made of 100% polyamide, is iron-safe and washable up to 60 °C. Your hem therefore keeps its shape after washing. It is suitable for quick alterations when you want to shorten clothing.

How to hem with the tape

Place the web along the fabric edge with the coated side down and iron it on. The backing paper protects the iron and the fabric. Then peel off the paper, fold up the hem and iron it in place again. Iron on a firm surface and set the iron to suit your fabric, not the web alone. For delicate fabrics, try it first on an offcut.

Which width do you need?

The width of the web depends on the width of your hem. At 30 mm, it sits between the narrower 20 mm hemming tape and the wider 38 mm one from the same Prym range.
