Prym Parka Drawcord in Black – Cord for Hoods, Waists and Accessories

The Prym parka drawcord in black is a 4 mm diameter cord for threading through parkas, outdoor jackets, hoodies or drawstring bags. The card contains 1.5 m. The cord is made of 100% acrylic, is colourfast and, according to Prym, water-resistant. As it is machine washable to 40 °C and tumble dryer safe, it also copes with frequent washing of the jacket.

Threaded through the casing of a hood or waist, it lets you adjust the width and fasten it with a bow or knot. The dyed-through cord is also suitable for trimming bags and as an appliqué on clothing.

Threading the cord

Attach a safety pin to the end of the cord and push it through the casing, gathering the fabric along bit by bit. Then knot the ends so they cannot slip back into the casing. The length needed for a hood or waist varies from garment to garment, so measure the casing in advance, including extra for the bow. For larger projects, the cord is also available in 3 m according to Prym.
