Clover Stitch Markers 329 – Marking Patterns and Decreases
The Clover stitch markers 329 are round plastic rings that you slip onto the needle between stitches as you knit. Use them to mark the start and end of a pattern repeat, the beginning of a round, or the places where you increase or decrease. As you carry on knitting, simply lift the ring from the left needle to the right needle.
The set contains two sizes, so you have the right ring for both fine and medium needles.
Tips for use
Choose the ring that slides loosely over your needle. If it is much too big, it pulls the yarn apart between two stitches and a visible gap can appear in the knitting. If it fits too tightly, it slows you down when you slip it across. If you are working with several markers, for example for raglan lines, you can mark the beginning of the round with a different ring size so you do not mix it up.
The rings are closed, so they stay on the needle only. If you want to mark a particular stitch in finished knitting or count rows, you need open stitch markers that you can hook in and remove again.
