Staedtler Noris 120 HB (2) Pencils, Pack of 50

Staedtler Noris 120 HB Pencils, Pack of 50 – for School and Office

The Staedtler Noris 120 in grade HB (2) is a lacquered wooden pencil for writing and drawing. The pack contains 50 pencils, which is useful for class sets, offices or craft groups. You will know the yellow and black design from school. HB is a medium grade, between soft and hard grades. You can write neatly with it and also sketch. The lead is bonded to the wood and its formula makes it break-resistant, an advantage if pencils are dropped often. The barrel is hexagonal, so the pencils do not roll off the desk as easily. The wood comes from PEFC-certified forests.

When to choose HB, and when softer?

HB suits handwriting, notes and light sketches: the line is clear but does not smudge badly. For darker strokes and shading, choose a softer grade. The Noris 120 is also available in 2B, B, H and 2H. This pack contains HB only.

Sharpening

A sharpener for standard pencils is all you need. Turn the pencil slowly as you sharpen, and the lead will break less often.
