Rayher cordless hot glue gun – spot gluing with and without the cable

The Rayher cordless hot glue gun with base station is a gluing tool for craft and hobby projects that lets you apply glue in small, precise spots. According to Rayher, it can be used with or without the cable. For cordless gluing, charge it in the base station beforehand. That way you can work at the workbench with the cable, and cordless when, for example, decorating a larger piece.

According to Rayher, the working time is approx. 90 seconds. That is how long you can position parts before the glue sets. The cable is 150 cm long. A fold-out stand helps while the gun heats up and during short breaks in gluing. The set includes two glue sticks, a stand and a cable, so you can get started straight away.

How to glue cordless

Allow some heating time before you start. It is approx. 3–5 minutes. Then work step by step:

• Insert a glue stick and place the gun on the unfolded stand to heat up.
• For cordless working, charge the gun in the base station beforehand.
• Apply the glue in spots and join the parts within the working time of approx. 90 seconds, pressing them together briefly.
• During short breaks, place the gun on the stand so the hot nozzle does not rest on your work surface.
• Work on a heat-resistant surface and do not touch the nozzle or fresh glue.

What it is suitable for

Spot gluing suits craft projects where no all-over application is needed, such as attaching decorative pieces. The gun is suitable for wood, metal, leather, fabric, cork and glass. If you need refills, use glue sticks with a diameter of 11 mm. Thinner sticks do not sit properly in the barrel, and thicker ones do not fit.
