Ecola poster paint gouache – opaque paint in a 500 ml dispenser bottle
Ecola poster paint gouache from Royal Talens is an intense, opaque paint for painting and learning to mix colours, at school and at home. It comes in 18 colours, adheres to paper, card and wood, and dries matt and opaque. If needed, you can dilute it with water. Choose your colour from the options.
The paint is intensely pigmented and, according to the manufacturer, economical in use. The special dispensing cap on the 500 ml bottle makes it easy to dose the paint, for example straight onto the palette. According to the manufacturer, all Ecola colours comply with the European standard for toy safety.
Working with Ecola
Shake the bottle briefly before opening and dispense the paint onto a palette through the dispensing cap. Apply it undiluted for strong, opaque areas, or thin it with a little water if you want a thinner layer. For gradients and new shades, mix the colours on the palette before applying them. The paint dries quickly, so put only as much on the palette as you will need in the next few minutes.
Techniques and cleaning
As well as painting with a brush, Ecola can be used for dabbing, stamping and monoprinting. Clean your hands and brushes with soap and water. Paint stains cannot always be washed out of fabrics easily, so it is advisable to wear an apron or old clothes when painting.
