The adjustable artist's mannequin is a 20 cm unisex articulated figure made of natural, untreated wood. You can use it as a drawing model for posture, proportions and movement. A support rod and a stand are included.

The figure is a finely crafted standing model with ball joints. The joints are screwed together and can be adjusted easily and precisely. This way you can set the mannequin in the pose you want to draw, and it holds it.

Working with the mannequin

Place the mannequin on the stand and move it into position joint by joint. The support rod helps with poses that the figure cannot hold on its own. Move each joint only in small steps and check that the posture looks natural.

What to look for when drawing

Start with a simple pose and first transfer the large shapes: head, ribcage, pelvis and the axes of the limbs. Details come afterwards. Turn the mannequin from time to time to see the same pose from several angles. At 20 cm tall, it fits well on a desk and can be placed conveniently next to your sketchbook.
