Rayher faceted glass beads with a diameter of 6 mm are glass beads for jewellery and craft projects, for example necklaces, bracelets or earrings. The surface shimmers, and depending on the colour the beads are transparent, semi-opaque or opaque. Choose your colour from the options.

According to Rayher, the beads have high lightfastness, high resistance to sweat and high resistance to perfume. That matters for jewellery worn directly on the skin. The 50 beads come in a tin, so the supply is easy to store.

Which size suits your project?

Rayher faceted glass beads come in 3 mm, 4 mm and 6 mm. The 3 and 4 mm sizes come with 100 pieces per tin each, the 6 mm bead with 50 pieces. With 6 mm you make bolder accents: they stand out as a single bead on a necklace or as the main bead in a bracelet. The smaller sizes work as spacer beads and for finer patterns.

Tips for stringing

Before stringing, test with a single bead that your thread or wire passes easily through the hole. The edges of cut glass beads can wear thread down over time. For jewellery that is worn often, it is better to use jewellery wire than a thin thread. Clean finished jewellery by hand at 30 °C, as Rayher specifies.
