Rayher copper eye pins – head pins for bead pendants and jewellery

Rayher copper eye pins are head pins for jewellery making. They are 35 mm long and 0.60 mm in diameter. One end has a small flat plate that holds a threaded bead in place. At the other end you bend a loop, so you can hang the bead on earrings, necklace pendants or bracelet charms. The pins are also intended for joining chain elements and beads.

The pack contains 15 pieces. The eye pins are also available in gold. That is handy if you want to choose chain or earring parts in a matching colour.

How to bend the loop

Thread the bead onto the pin so that it rests on the plate. The bead hole must be larger than 0.60 mm for this. Then trim the pin so that about 1 cm sticks out at the top. Use round-nose pliers to bend a loop from this remainder. Before closing it, hook the loop into the earring hook, chain link or bracelet chain. For a neat, round loop, it works best to wrap the wire around the pliers' jaw in a single movement rather than bending it again and again.
