Rayher gold eye pins for beads and jewellery

Rayher eye pins are used to attach beads to jewellery or to join chain elements, for example in earrings, pendants and bracelet charms. Each pin is 35 mm long, Ø 0.60 mm, and has a flat plate at one end. The pack contains 15 pins in gold.

The plate holds the threaded bead on the pin. At the other end you bend the loop, where you attach a chain link, ear hook or clasp.

Making a bead with a loop

Thread the bead onto the pin until it rests on the plate. Then cut the pin so that about 1 cm remains at the top. That leaves enough wire for a neat loop. Bend the remainder into a loop with round-nose pliers, attach the chain element and close the loop. Make sure the hole in the bead is at least 0.60 mm and smaller than the plate, otherwise the bead will slip over the plate.

The gold eye pins are also available in copper, in the same dimensions. With both colours you can put jewellery pieces together to match your beads and chain elements.
