Clover non-slip thimble, small – light protection with a metal tip

The Clover non-slip thimble, small (art. no. 6025) protects the finger that pushes the needle when you sew and quilt. It is made of soft rubber with a dimpled metal tip that you can press on firmly. The rubber fits loosely around the finger and does not slip off as easily as a smooth metal thimble.

According to Clover, it is 50 to 80% lighter than a conventional metal thimble. The wavy shape lets air reach the finger, and because only a small area touches the skin, the finger does not sweat, according to Clover. This makes longer sewing sessions more comfortable.

Wearing the thimble

Put the thimble on the finger you use to push the needle through the fabric. It should sit firmly on the fingertip without slipping or cutting off circulation. Place the needle against the metal tip and push it through several layers of fabric with the thimble. The dimples hold the end of the needle securely.

Which size?

This thimble has an inside diameter of 14.5 mm and is the small size. Clover also offers the series in medium (art. no. 6026, 15.5 mm) and large (art. no. 6027, 17 mm). If the small thimble is too tight, choose the next size up.
