Prym silicone needle grips – non-slip hold for pulling the needle

The Prym needle grip is a silicone thimble that lets you pull the sewing needle safely through several layers of fabric or firm materials. According to Prym, the silicone gives a non-slip grip on the needle and protects your fingers when sewing firm materials.

The pack contains two grips in pink: one in size M and one in size L, suitable for the thumb and for the index or middle finger. That way you can find the right size for each hand and each grip.

Using the needle grip

Slip the grip onto the finger you use to hold the needle, and grasp the tip of the needle with it after pushing it through. The silicone surface clings to the needle, so you pull through thick layers with less effort. The ventilation slits on the underside keep your finger comfortable even during longer sewing sessions, and the opening at the front leaves room for long fingernails.

Which size should I choose?

The smaller size M fits slimmer fingers, while the larger size L fits stronger fingers or the thumb. As both sizes are included, you can simply try out which finger gives you the best grip.
