With the Hardicraft Ria the Dachshund knitting kit, you knit an amigurumi figure: a dachshund that measures approx. 30 cm long when finished. The kit contains the pattern, marl yarn and the accessories you need to get started. Only the knitting needles are down to you; the dachshund is knitted on 2.5 mm needles.

The yarn is marled in brown, blue and black. The marl adds a play of colour to your knitting without you having to change yarns or knit patterns. According to the manufacturer, the kit was designed by Christel Krukkert.

What's included in the kit

The kit supplies everything you need to start, apart from the needles. So you don't have to hunt down yarn or accessories separately.

Knitting and stuffing

You knit the amigurumi pieces separately and stuff them with toy stuffing before sewing them together. Attach the safety eyes before stuffing, as you won't be able to reach the back afterwards. Stuff the pieces evenly and in small amounts so that the dachshund doesn't end up with dents. Follow the order of work and needle size given in your pattern, as the size of the finished figure depends on them.
