With the Pixi Cat crochet kit you crochet an amigurumi cat that stands approx. 21 cm tall when finished. The kit contains cotton yarn in orange, green and light orange, safety eyes (6 mm), toy stuffing and a pattern in German, English and Dutch. There is no need to gather the materials one by one, so you can start crocheting straight away.

The cat is worked with a 2.5 mm crochet hook. The fine hook gives a dense fabric, so the stuffing will not show through later. The kit is for anyone who would like to crochet amigurumi and wants a ready-made set of materials.

Crocheting the cat

Amigurumi is usually crocheted in a spiral and fairly tightly, so that the stuffing does not show through the stitches. The individual parts follow the pattern and are sewn together at the end.

• Insert the safety eyes before you stuff and close the head, as the backing cannot be fitted afterwards.
• Stuff in small portions so that the shape is even.
• Weave in the ends neatly with the tapestry needle.
