Hardicraft Knitting Kit Doutze the Rabbit – knit your own soft toy

With the Doutze the Rabbit knitting kit from Hardicraft, you knit an approx. 23 cm rabbit with a flat body, made for cuddling. Beige and pink yarn (both marl), safety eyes, toy stuffing and the pattern are all included, so there is no need to gather the materials separately.

The pattern comes in Dutch, English, German and French. The knitting needles are not part of the kit: according to the manufacturer, you need 2.5 mm needles.

Knitting the rabbit

Follow the pattern and knit with 2.5 mm needles. According to the manufacturer, the rabbit has a flat body and is stuffed at the end with the toy stuffing supplied. The marl yarns give the fur a lively colour effect. Attach the safety eyes carefully, following the pattern, as they are small parts. If you knit too loosely, the stuffing will show through the stitches, so it is best to knit evenly and rather firmly.
