With the Hardicraft crochet kit Siem the Turtle, you crochet a small turtle in cotton yarn that measures approx. 24 cm tall when finished. The kit contains the yarn in three colours (50 g green, 25 g brown, 10 g beige), 10 mm safety eyes, stuffing and the pattern. You can start crocheting straight away without having to put the yarn together yourself.

The turtle is crocheted with a 2.5 mm crochet hook. The hook is not included in the kit. The yarn quantities are matched to the design: the shell takes the most yarn, while the brown and beige are intended for the head, legs and details.

Method

Amigurumi figures are usually crocheted tightly so that the stuffing does not show through the stitches. Insert the safety eyes before you stuff and close the turtle, as they cannot be fixed in place afterwards. Stuff the head and legs just enough for them to keep their shape. Stuff the shell more firmly so that the turtle sits well.
