Royal Talens Art Deco Sketchbook, 140 gsm, 80 Sheets

Royal Talens Art Deco Sketchbook – Hardback with 80 White Sheets

The Art Deco sketchbook from Royal Talens is a sturdy hardback sketchbook made for drawings, studies and ideas on the go. It has 80 white sheets of acid-free paper at 140 g/m². An elastic band keeps the book closed, so nothing flaps open when you put it in your bag. Choose your size from the options.

The 140 g/m² paper is noticeably thicker than ordinary drawing paper and copes with dry media as well as light wet applications. Because it is acid-free, it does not yellow as quickly, so your sketches last longer.

Suitable techniques

According to Royal Talens, the paper is suitable for pencil, pastel, acrylic, gouache, ink, charcoal and light wet washes. 140 g/m² is not intended for very wet techniques with a lot of water, as the paper may then cockle. If you want to work with watercolours, apply them sparingly and as thin glazes.

Everyday tips

Soft media such as charcoal, pastel or soft pencil can smudge when the book is closed. Place a sheet of paper between finished pages or fix the drawing beforehand. The elastic band holds the book together even if you carry it in your bag often.
