How to grind the ink

Use the small ladle to put a few drops of water onto the ink stone and grind the ink stick in it with even, circular movements. The longer you grind, the darker and stronger the ink becomes. Use the porcelain dish for water or for ground ink that you are working with. Test the colour on a practice sheet before writing on your actual paper.
