AMI Colour Shaper Set – 5 silicone brushes for shaping and blending thick paint

The AMI Colour Shaper set (art. no. 575870) contains 5 rubber-tipped brushes in size 2, each with a differently shaped tip. Instead of bristles, the brushes have flexible tips that you can use to apply, blend, shape and sculpt thick media such as texture paste, painting gel or heavy-body paint.

The shapers work with acrylic paint, gouache, tempera, oil paint, texture pastes and painting gel. Use the broader tips to spread material over larger areas, and the narrower ones for edges, lines and details. The diameter of approx. 4 mm suits small to medium areas.

Working with the Colour Shaper

Pick up texture paste or paint with the tip and spread it over the surface as you would with a palette knife. Draw lines and grooves with the edge, dab on texture with the tip, or blend wet areas of paint into one another. Keep the amount of material on the tip small and build up in several steps, so that edges stay clean.

Choosing and care

You can switch between the five shapes in the set depending on the stage of your work, without having to buy further brushes. Wipe the tips clean straight after use. Rinse acrylic paint out with water before it dries, as dried-on residue is hard to remove from flexible tips.
