Marabu Alcohol Ink – permanent alcohol ink for pouring techniques

Marabu Alcohol Ink is a permanent alcohol-based ink for pouring techniques and creative designs on non-absorbent surfaces. The bottle contains 20 ml. The colours are mixable, quick-drying and acid-free. Choose your colour from the options.

Most colours in the range are transparent and dye-based. The exceptions are the metallic colours and Diamant. Because the ink is transparent, the surface underneath shows through, and colours layered on top of each other blend into new shades.

Use on non-absorbent surfaces

Alcohol Ink is intended for smooth, non-absorbent surfaces. On absorbent surfaces such as ordinary paper, the thin ink soaks in immediately and does not flow. As the ink dries quickly, work swiftly.

• Clean and degrease the surface so that the ink adheres evenly.
• Apply the ink drop by drop and let it spread by tilting the piece gently or blowing on it.
• Add further colours to the still wet surface if you want them to flow into each other.
• Work in a well-ventilated area, wear gloves and eye protection, and keep away from sources of ignition.

Other products in the range

Besides the standard colours, the Marabu range includes some special products. The neon colours are fluorescent and give intense, vivid designs with a daylight-glow effect. The colour Diamant gives all Alcohol Ink colours a sparkling shimmer effect. The Alcohol Ink Extender is used for mixing, lightening and lifting Alcohol Ink colours, and also slows down drying.

DANGER: Highly flammable liquid and vapour. Causes serious eye irritation. May cause respiratory irritation. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing, eye protection, face protection. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Store locked up. Dispose of contents/container to hazardous waste disposal. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking.
