Glorex mould release agent – water-soluble protective film for moulds

The Glorex mould release agent is a protective film for moulds, which you apply before pouring in casting resin or casting wood. The cast piece is then easier to release from the mould. The agent is transparent and is not dissolved by the resin.

The bottle contains 100 ml. The agent is water-soluble, so you can simply wash off any residue with water.

Applying the release agent

The mould should be clean and dry. Brush the release agent in a thin, even layer onto all surfaces that will come into contact with the resin. Leave the film to dry for approx. 20–30 minutes before pouring in the casting resin or casting wood.

Avoiding common mistakes

Too much agent forms puddles and brush marks, which can show on the cast piece. It is therefore better to apply it thinly and make sure that nothing pools, especially in corners and recesses. As the agent contains isopropanol, work outdoors or in a well-ventilated room.
