The Faber-Castell Art Eraser in white is a kneadable putty rubber for correcting and lightening drawings in charcoal, pencil and pastel. You knead it into shape and lift the pigment off the paper with it. It leaves no eraser crumbs to dirty your workspace or your drawing.

The putty is extremely pliable and absorbs a lot of pigment. You can roll it to a point for fine details or press it flat to lighten larger areas. It can also be used to clean films and finished drawings. The Art Eraser is also available in grey.

Working with the putty rubber

Knead the putty well before use until it is soft and even. To lighten an area, press it onto the spot and lift it off again instead of rubbing. This way it picks up the pigment without roughening the paper surface. For fine highlights, shape it to a point. Once the putty has picked up colour, fold it and carry on with a clean part, so that you do not transfer pigment back onto the sheet.
