Faber-Castell Black Edition Colouring Pencils, Set of 24 in Cardboard Case

Faber-Castell Black Edition – 24 Triangular Colouring Pencils with Super Soft Lead

The Faber-Castell Black Edition colouring pencils are triangular pencils with a black wooden barrel, supplied in a cardboard case of 24. The super soft lead lays down plenty of colour, even on dark or coloured paper.

The ergonomic triangular shape sits securely in the hand and stops the pencil from slipping as you draw. According to the manufacturer, the colours are vivid and the colour application is extra soft. A special bonding process protects the lead from breakage. The wood comes from certified sustainable forestry (FSC).

Working with the super soft lead

The soft lead lays down strong colour even with light pressure. You can therefore fill areas quickly and build up colour gradients in several thin layers instead of pressing hard. On dark or coloured paper the colours remain visible. This is handy for drawings on toned paper, or for effects and highlights on a dark ground.

Which pack size to choose

The Black Edition is available in cardboard cases of 12, 24, 36 and 50 pencils. With 24 pencils you have a wider choice than in the 12-pencil case. For fine gradations and blending on the paper, you can opt for the larger packs.
